Shandra made the decision to pursue the sport of volleyball
in grade 9, in her hometown of Edmonton. Participating in volleyball on school,
club, provincial, university and national teams has been one of the most rewarding
experiences of of Shandra's life. Shandra has just completed a Ph.D. in Physiology
and Cell Biology at the University of Alberta, during which time she assisted
in coaching the U. of A. Pandas. In August, Shandra will begin studying medicine
at the University of Calgary.
