Lori Ann was born and raised in Yorkton, Sask. and began playing volleyball at the age of 14. Volleyball has been very rewarding to her. It has given her the opportunity to travel all around the world; Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Czechoslovakia, Cuba, Japan, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Netherlands, Poland, England, Mexico, and numerous places throughout the United States and Canada. It was a challenging and fun career and one that has blessed her with many fond memories and experiences.
Currently Lori Ann is the Fitness Coordinator at the Canadian Forces Base in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has been there for the past 5 years. She has coached three volleyball programs within the military; the Men's Army Team, the Men's Base Team and the Women's Military National Team, which is called CISM. She has been the Head Coach of the Military Women's National Volleyball Team for the past 3 years. The team competes every four years at the World Military Games and every year at the World Championships. In 1999 they competed in the World Military Games in Zagreb, Croatia and in 2001 they competed at the World Championships in Viterbo, Italy. This upcoming season has them competing at the World Championships in Romania.
