Diane
Scott was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She attended St. James Collegiate
High School and although she excelled in volleyball, her high school team never
made it to the provincial championships. Even with all her talent and ability
she was never part of the Manitoba provincial team programs. She entered the
University of Winnipeg as student in the faculty of Administrative Studies.
During her university career she played 3 years of eligibility at University
of Winnipeg and won the national championship each year she played. Diane has
been the head coach at the University of Winnipeg now since the fall of 1995.
This season she took her 7th ranked team to the national championships in Laval
and together they fought their way all the way into the national final finally
earning the silver medal. Diane also coached as assistant coach with the Canadian
National Womens Team from 1997 to 2000. As a coach and proud owner of a restaurant
in Winnipeg, Diane still manages to find the time to enjoy a healthy and active
lifestyle of playing sports and spending time with friends and family.

Diane was a member of the Canadian Womens National Senior Team from 1985 to 1991. From 1997 until 2000 she was also the assistant coach with our National Team Program in many different aspects. Some highlights from her national team experience were:
